Statement of Intent

For this project i am going to create a cookbook that is designed to target students from the ages of 18-22. It needs to be quick, easy, simple and appealing to the buyer. I will look at other cook books both home made and professionally produced i will also look at various chefs who have published their own books to gain ideas for recipe layouts etc. As i am handling all of the text production i will look at the way that many of the cook books are formatted in both the sense of their layouts and the fonts that have been used. To stay true to the brief i will look at all the ways that i can use beans in my recipes. The images that i take will have to be of a certain standard but still true to what i want to produce.
As there is a brief to follow i will be referring back to it frequently to make sure that i am not veering off topic. Personally i feel that it will be a challenge for me to make something like this as it is a lot of designing as well as photography. Part of the reason that i chose to do this particular brief however was so that i could challenge myself so that i can see just how far i can stretch my skill set and possibly discover a new medium that i work well in.
